Friends of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad Scholarship
A non-profit organization that preserves and interprets historical and contemporary aspects of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad. They have started an annual $1000 scholarship based on merit to a qualifying student pursuing a degree or technical training in the Industrial Arts with a career goal in the rail industry. The application window is open until March 31, 2022.

Donald A. Strauss Public Service Scholarship
The Donald A. Strauss Scholarship Foundation wants to help you take your interest in public service, social change, or social entrepreneurship to the next level. Our $15,000 award is both a major scholarship -- $7,000 --- plus a "startup check" --- $8,000 --- that will help you implement your innovative and timely idea, while engaging other students, local participants and/or local businesses.
