Bio: Hi! My name is Jacob Hamada, and I am the current President of Cal Poly ITE. I am from Portland, Oregon and am super excited to start my fourth year at Cal Poly studying Civil Engineering. I am very passionate about Transportation, especially traffic impact analysis and transportation planning. I have been able to pursue my passion through my past summer internship with Kimley-Horn, as well as complete research with our transportation faculty and faculty advisor, Dr. Pande. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports with my friends including soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, and flag football. At Cal Poly ITE, I am looking forward to an awesome year full of transportation and friends!
Position: Vice President
Bio: Hi! I'm Lauren, and I'll be going into my third year at Cal Poly in the fall, pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering. In Transportation Engineering, it is exciting to explore a variety of different paths and get hands-on work with competitions and projects. I have also enjoyed getting to know Cal Poly ITE members and becoming involved in the club. As Vice President, I am looking forward to organizing outreach opportunities and helping our Cal Poly ITE members network with others through conference attendance. Outside of transportation and engineering, I enjoy cooking, baking, and horseback riding. On the average weekend you'll find me cooking/baking a new recipe or trying to spend time with horses.

Bio: Hey all! I'm Emily, this year's Historian and a 5th year graduate student. Cal Poly ITE has been a huge part of my undergraduate years and I can't wait to see how this club grows as I finish off my last two quarters. My passion lies in traffic design and operations, and I've had a lot of exposure to traffic engineering through my past internship at W-Trans and my current one at Central Coast Transportation Consulting. Along with this, I will be completing my thesis under our club advisor, Dr. Pande, which will focus on the Safe Routes to School Program. In my free time, I love to paint, crochet, knit, and basically tackle any DIY project you can think of. Looking forward to meeting all of you in person this upcoming quarter!
Position: Past President
Bio: Hello! My name is Katherine Lee, Cal Poly ITE's past president. I will be finishing off my last quarter of graduate school this upcoming Fall so I am very excited to be on campus and experience in-person events and seeing everyone again! I have been involved with ITE for about 2.5 years and have passion in traffic operation and analysis and roadway design. ITE has provided me with a family and a second home that I (seriously) have problems leaving behind (and trust me, I don't plan on leaving this awesome community). Lastly, thank you Western District for awarding me with the 2021 Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award and thank you Cal Poly ITE for awarding me the 2021 Eugene Jud Transportation Achievement Award. I am excited to see where the chapter goes this AY!
