If a movie were made about your life, who would play you? My sister because we used to love switching roles when we were younger, and she basically knows everything about me. Why you love transportation? I love transportation because it helps build communities and provides a safe way for people to get from one place to another. Also, every transportation problem is a different puzzle, and I enjoy the challenge. Most importantly, transportation is awesome because it allows me to travel around the world using different modes! What you look forward to doing with ITE this next year? I look forward to recruiting and meeting new members, attending conferences, winning more awards, and having fun! :) |

Why? My twin brother. Although we're technically not identical, no one would be able to tell the difference. Why you love transportation? I started by playing with toy cars on large maps of parking lots when I was a kid, and my love of transportation has grown from there. What you look forward to doing with ITE this next year? As webmaster I want to keep every member informed about club activities and hopefully win the website award at Western District next summer! Also meeting other transpo nerds and making new friends! |

Year: 2nd Year Graduate Student Hometown: Lafayette, CA Go-to Starbucks drink: Iced Decaf Caramel Macchiato Most obscure mode of transportation you have used: Flying Turtle Scooter If a movie were made about your life, who would play you? Why? I don't keep up with actors and actresses all that much. I'd rather think about who my major influences have been; they include Joe Navarro, Shinji Sogo, Jiro Ono, Dean Baker, Mariana Mazzucato, Ha-Joon Chang, and Noam Chomsky. Why you love transportation? I grew up riding trains while visiting family in Japan during summer vacations, and I worked on model train sets as well in my youth. My current hobby is researching the California High-Speed Rail Project and keeping up with news in regard to it. What you look forward to doing with ITE this next year? Hopefully getting acquainted with other members and seeing if they have any passions that they constantly chase and research on. |

Why? Tina Fey because her character on 30 Rock is way too relatable. Why you love transportation? It's so fascinating how transportation has huge implications on all aspects of society. My goal is to see beyond engineering and help bring about social change through transportation. What you look forward to doing with ITE this next year? Helping freshmen discover how amazing the field of transportation is, and going to San Diego for Western District! |

Why? I'd be honored if Chris Pratt would play me in a movie. He's a stand-up guy and can make anything funny. Why you love transportation? Without transportation, life would never have come into existence. From the cellular level, where red blood cells transporting oxygen & carbon dioxide peruse our veins and arteries, to space travel, where we seek life beyond earth. It's an integral part of our lives that is often overlooked. What you look forward to doing with ITE this next year? Meet new people, make new friends, and convince new members that ITE can indeed be their home away from home. |

Robin Williams - I have been told several times that I look like him even though I don't see it! Why you love transportation? If you can't get to where you need to go how can you do the things you need to do? - Essentially all I am saying is transportation is a crucial part of world infrastructure that is often overlooked. Transportation is so immensely important and I want to be in a field where I can make the biggest impact on this world. What you look forward to doing with ITE this next year? Continue to market our club well and make sure people see us in the best light possible. |
