TJKM regularly has openings for internship opportunities throughout the year. These f ull-time paid internships are for aspiring professionals/students looking for an opportunity to gain real-world work experience and build a portfolio with professional references. Interns work on a variety of tasks under the direct supervision of Project Manager. Priority will be given for candidates who are enthusiastic, detail-oriented and require minimal supervision

WTS-OC Transportation Academy NEW
The Women’s Transportation Seminar of Orange County will sponsor the 9th Annual Transportation Academy this August. The Transportation Academy is a two-week immersion program, offering undergraduate and graduate students a first-hand look at different facets of the transportation industry; the Academy is open to men and women. Students will visit 13 public and private agencies for half-day seminars to learn all about the transportation industry. Participants will learn about management, finance, operations and planning, as well as engineering, construction management and public involvement principals.

Independent Study Opportunity: Rail-Truck Conceptual Plan
The Santa Maria Valley Railroad is pursuing the development of a rail-truck transload facility in SLO, and they need help preparing graphics for a conceptual plan. Professor Glen Matteson, who teaches CE 425 Railway Engineering, is looking for a student who will be in SLO this summer to take on this project as a CE 500 Independent Study opportunity. Summer Internship at Lake Tahoe with LSC Transportation Consultants
LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc. is looking for a full‐time paid temporary Summer Intern at our office in Tahoe City, California. The work may include traffic engineering analysis, traffic data collection, transit data analysis and planning, parking analysis, and report preparation. We provide a flexible work environment, including flexibility on start and end date, and the opportunity to gain experience in transportation consulting while spending a summer in Tahoe and earning $17.50 an hour.

Assistant Engineer in Traffic at OCTEC NEW
The City of Anaheim Public Works Department is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Engineering A - Traffic to support the Traffic and Transportation Division. This position will perform para-professional and technical engineering work including plan development, plan review, development review, contract administration and design in assigned area of responsibility; and to provide technical staff assistance to higher level engineering staff.
Candidates must possess three (3) years of civil engineering work experience or have completed three (3) years of course work in a board-approved engineering curriculum (any curriculum approved by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology (ABET).
