​2017-2018 Spring Quarter!
Cal Poly ITE is ready for an exciting spring quarter with lots of awesome events planned ahead.
In January, ITE members traveled to this year's ITE Student Leadership Summit at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.

Our third general meeting of spring quarter is on Thursday, April 26 from 11:10 AM - 12:00 PM in Building 192-106. Come hear from Travis Low, a Transportation Engineer at Central Coast Transportation Consulting in Morro Bay and 2012-2013 Cal Poly ITE President. Lunch provided!

ITE Western District Meeting in Keystone, Colorado

When: Saturday, June 23- Wednesday, June 27
​Where: Keystone, Colorado
This year’s Western District meeting is just around the corner from Saturday June 23rd – Wednesday June 27th! This is the largest conference that we attend each year and has many fun events including MiteY Race and Traffic Bowl. Also, students can take part in special student leadership forums, resume workshops, and amusing young professional discussions. The meeting is a jam-packed four days filled with networking, technical presentations, and oh yeah… food! Travel costs are also heavily subsidized by ITE!

LADOT: Full Time and Internship Opportunities in Transportation Engineering/Planning Associate  NEW
LADOT is hiring and recruiting for multiple positions including their full time transportation engineering associate, full time transportation planning associate, and intern positions.  Kaylinn Pell and another Cal Poly grad will be at the career fair at the rec center on Thursday, April 19th accepting resumes. On-campus interviews will be scheduled in a few weeks.  Please see the attachment for the full-time career positions bulletins.  They don't have a bulletin for the internship positions.  They hired 50 new engineers and planners in the last two years and are actively looking to hire more in the next few months to fill all their positions still vacant!

Ilana - ITE has introduced me to a great group of people with similar interests and allowed me to grow my professional network.  It has allowed me to feel more confident talking with professionals, and helped me get my internships!

What ITE has done for you:
Megan - ITE is one of the first engineering clubs that I felt really connected to on campus. I attended Student Leadership Summit with them this past year not knowing anyone and returned to SLO with new friends who share the same passions as I do. Since joining ITE, I am more comfortable networking with professionals and I have a better understanding of where I want to go with my degree.
Curtis - In addition to feeding me every other Thursday (if not more often than that), ITE has provided me with countless opportunities for professional and personal networking. I have met and built relationships with other passionate transportation students and professionals  in and outside of SLO. Oh! and it was through ITE that I was able to get my internship with the County of SLO in the transportation division.
